From April 23rd to 27th, Concetti will be at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas, to take part in the IEE-IAS/PCA Cement Conference.
All operators in the cement industry are welcome at the conference, which this year is themed “Sustainable Strength through Innovation,” with educational sessions, round tables, and a dedicated exhibition area.
In Dallas, at stand 717, Concetti, a global leader in the manufacture of industrial bulk bag filling systems for cement, building materials, special construction chemicals, refractories and asphalt, will highlight all the benefits of Form, Fill, Seal technology for efficient powder packaging, with a special focus on sustainability.
Although paper packaging is still used in numerous countries, plastic packaging is the better option when it comes to:
- providing protection against weathering
- environmental sustainability
- visual appeal and cleanliness of bags
- logistics and efficient management of storage space
Concetti North America, the US branch headquartered in Georgia since 2013, will have a team of experts available at stand 717 in Dallas to discuss the new features of the Continua Six-Station Form Fill Seal machine. The bags, which range in weight from 5 to 40 kg, are compact, sturdy, and easy to stack thanks to sophisticated technology combining deaeration and vibration. The packaging provides excellent protection, and the bags can be stored outside for up to 270 days without wasting any product or harming the environment.
The polyethylene tubular film used by the FFS horizontal forming machines is also sustainable because:
- it is 100% recyclable
- 50-70% of its composition is made up of recycled polymers
- its thickness can be significantly reduced compared to the market standard of 120-140 microns
Concetti recently conducted tests with a number of customers, obtaining positive results in terms of the technical performance of its packaging even with 90-micron film, and achieving a strong reduction in the use of plastic. This is great news not only for the environment, but also the bottom line (reduction in bag weight for the same volume and performance).
Nearly 50 years of technical expertise and process knowledge makes Concetti a reliable partner for packaging automation and management of even the most challenging products.
Come visit us at the IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Conference in Dallas from April 23-27. The experts at Concetti North America can show you the best solution for your packaging needs!
